Movement 1
No institution falls to a frontal assault
The opening correction: institutions are not stormed, they are processed. The people who take them almost never announce the taking, and by the time the membership notices, the bylaws already belong to someone else. Knowing this changes what you watch for.
Movement 2
The techniques, named
The heart of the talk — the capture methods, each named, each shown in a real, current, documented story: the procedural takeover (win the committee, not the argument); the redefinition of terms (change what the words mean and the rules follow); the manufactured consensus (three voices arranged to sound like a movement); and raising the price of speech until silence is the rational choice. Audiences take notes through this entire section.
Movement 3
The counters
For every technique, the book's answer — and none of them require a majority. Show up at the meeting nobody attends. Refuse the redefined term and keep using the true one, calmly, on the record. Ask the question that forces the consensus to count itself. Make the price of silence visible too.
Movement 4
Reading your own institution
The early signs that capture has begun: the procedural change nobody can explain, the new vocabulary in official documents, the sudden urgency around a vote scheduled when working people cannot attend. A checklist the room applies to its own school board, denomination, or company before the talk is over.
Movement 5
Technique, counter, your move
The triad run live on a story from that week's Capture Alerts — the same drill every alert on the site runs. The point of the close: this is not a lecture to remember, it is a habit to keep, and the alert desk hands you fresh practice material every day.
