November Ballot Measures Nationwide Will Decide Abortion, Gender, Marriage Laws
Voters in numerous states will decide ballot measures this November covering abortion, gender policy, marriage, housing and taxes, according to OSV News as reported by Angelus News. Idaho, Nevada and Virginia have measures that would establish abortion as a state constitutional right, while Missouri's Amendment 3 would both restrict abortion and limit gender-transition procedures for minors. Virginia voters will also consider removing the state's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, which Arlington Bishop Michael F. Burbidge publicly urged Catholics to reject alongside the abortion measure. Arizona, Nebraska, Colorado and Washington have measures requiring student athletes to compete on teams matching biological sex, and Colorado would separately restrict gender-transition procedures for minors. Massachusetts recently signed a law removing prior 24-week abortion restrictions, which pro-life advocacy group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America says similar ballot measures in Virginia, Nevada and Idaho seek to replicate. Additional measures address housing policy in California, Hawaii, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, school meal funding in North Dakota, ranked-choice voting in Alaska, and tax thresholds in Utah and California.

Why Bible-Believing Christians Should Care
These ballot measures place before voters, in a single election cycle, the core moral questions Scripture speaks to directly: the value of unborn life, the created order of male and female, and marriage as God defined it. Measures enshrining abortion as a state right or removing parental oversight of gender procedures for minors are not neutral policy adjustments — they formalize rejection of biblical teaching on the sanctity of life and the body. Christians should recognize that ballot language is often written to obscure scope, as advocates on both sides note. Engaged, informed participation by believers in these specific states is a direct application of stewardship over the family sphere entrusted to the Church and to Christian citizens.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee — Jeremiah 1:5

From the book
As the Chapter 8b case study showed, the capture of parental authority usually happens by reframing morality as safety. Activists introduce concepts of gender theory or sexual liberation into schools. They do not call it moral instruction, which would be the parent's domain. They call it comprehensive health education, which is the expert's domain. Then when a parent objects to explicit material, the institution answers that these materials were selected by credentialed experts and the parent is not an expert, so the objection is invalid.
