Carson City School Attorney Can't Cite Law Behind Gender-Reporting Policy
If this is your mountain
- Attend or review the recording of the August 11 Carson City School Board meeting and request the legal citations Russell has not yet produced.
- Ask Carson City and Douglas County trustees why identical legal claims produced different policy language in the two districts.
- Request a copy of the current Policy 106 language, including the reporting and opt-out provisions, from the district office.
- Contact your school board representative in writing asking for written legal opinions before any final vote on these policies.
The answers are for members
Each of these has been researched: what the public record already answers, and for the rest, the exact question to put to your own district or council — worded so it has to be answered with a date and a recorded vote.
