DOJ Report: Biden DOJ Used FBI to Chill Parents Who Spoke at School Boards
The Department of Justice released a 273-page report Monday, "The 2026 Report to Expose the Weaponization of Government Against Parents in Schools," detailing how the Biden-era DOJ under Attorney General Merrick Garland worked with the National School Boards Association and White House officials to suppress parents speaking out at school board meetings, according to bizpacreview.com. Attorney General Todd Blanche posted the report along with hundreds of supporting exhibits and emails. The report states that following Garland's 2021 memorandum — issued after an NSBA letter urged the administration to treat parental objections as potential domestic terrorism — the FBI opened investigations into parents, including one targeted for belonging to a conservative moms' group and owning a gun, and another for criticizing government officials. Parents who objected to COVID-19 restrictions, transgender policies, Critical Race Theory, or DEI curricula at local meetings were labeled domestic terrorists or violent protestors, the report says. One cited case involved a father arrested after his special-needs daughter was assaulted in a school restroom by a male student; he was reportedly silenced from publicly discussing the district's handling of the incident.

Why Bible-Believing Christians Should Care
Scripture gives parents, not the state, primary responsibility to raise and instruct their children (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Ephesians 6:4). This report documents federal law enforcement being directed against mothers and fathers who objected — at public school board meetings, the most basic forum of local accountability — to policies conflicting with biblical teaching on sexuality and truth-telling about a child's safety. When raising a concern about a daughter's assault or objecting to curriculum content can trigger an FBI file or a domestic terrorism label, the chilling effect falls heaviest on Christian parents whose convictions are already least welcome in many districts. This is the jurisdictional dispute in its starkest form: who holds authority over a child's upbringing, parents or government — and whether government may use its power to silence the parents it was created to serve.
Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. — Proverbs 31:8

From the book
The most potent weapon against parents is Rule 3. Educators reframe moral and cultural questions as technical or medical ones. A dispute over explicit material becomes a matter of library science. A dispute over gender identity becomes a matter of mental health best practice. The activist tells the parent he is not an educator, using the appeal to authority to sever the parent's confidence in his own judgment.
